Why the name ’Teddy’?

Our Inspiration comes from Teddy Roosevelt, turned conservation into a national priority. Theodore Roosevelt—an outdoorsman, Rough Rider, and one of America’s most consequential conservation presidents.

  • Like us here at Teddy Outdoors Coffee Co, Roosevelt believed that time outside builds character, strengthens the spirit, and helps people engage more fully with life. As president, he acted on those beliefs, protecting approximately 230 million acres of public land and helping establish national parks, forests, monuments, wildlife refuges, and the United States Forest Service.

    We aren’t trying to live in the past or turn a coffee company into a history lesson. We simply believe the qualities Teddy represented still matter: get outside, participate fully, protect what is worth preserving, and leave something meaningful for the people who follow.

Our coffees carry that inspiration forward—not by putting history in a museum case, but by connecting it to something people enjoy every day.

Our seasonal Bravest Coffee extends that idea of service and action by recognizing people who put themselves forward for others. Through our partnership with the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, it gives us an opportunity to honor that spirit by donating $1 bag for every bag purchased.

We take the quality, origin, roasting, blending, and flavor of our coffee seriously. Whether you are evaluating it during a formal cupping or brewing it in the same drip coffee maker you use every morning, it will deliver a cup you genuinely look forward to drinking.

That standard applies to everything we do—from our traditional roasts to Performance Coffee with Lion’s Mane Mushrooms. We explore new ideas, ingredients, and experiences, but never at the expense of the coffee itself.

Teddy Outdoors Coffee Co. is built around the belief that coffee can help us start better, step outside, and engage more fully with the day. Over time, we want to tell more stories about coffee, the outdoors, and the people and places that connect them.
